Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage concentrates on the deeper layers of muscle and fascia in the body to treat chronic tension and injuries. It aims to release the patterns of tension in the body through slow, forceful strokes to improve mobility, posture and physical performance. More pressure is applied in Deep Tissue Massage than in Swedish Massage and it can be a bit uncomfortable at times but should never be painful. Massage techniques include the use of knuckles, fists, forearms and elbows carried out at a slower pace than other massage therapies.

What to Expect
I will carry out a short consultation prior to treatment in order to tailor the massage to your needs. Please ensure that there is enough space for the massage couch and for me to move freely around it. It is also important that your room is at a warm comfortable temperature as the body tends to cool down quickly. I provide all equipment required for treatment including a heat pad to keep you warm but feel free to provide a blanket for extra comfort if you feel you may need it. Deep Tissue Massage is carried out using high quality cold-pressed oils.
